Hakuba Iwatake Snow Field

Hakuba Iwatake Snow Fieldis located in the town of Hakuba home to the 1998 Winter Olympic games. Iwatake proudly boasts one of the most breath taking views of the Northern Alps’ Hakuba 3 peaks, including a 360°panoramic view of the surrounding mountains. All 15 courses have their own unique features.
For those who wish to take a break from Skiing or are just looking for a relaxing activity, Hakuba Iwatake also offers a snowshoe course at the top of the resort. Here, you can enjoy a relaxing stroll with 3000m class peaks of the Northern Alps towering above you.
If you are looking for a true Japanese cultural experience, the Iwatake area has done a wonderful job of keeping with traditional ways. Most of the accommodations are family run “Minshuku” which are small cozy Inns, where you are made to feel at home.
Iwatake has very easy access to all other Hakuba ski areas. “Happo One” “Hakuba47” “Goryu” & “Tsugaike” are just a 5 to 15 minute drive or shuttle bus ride away.
More than just a winter resort, Hakuba Iwatake has activities running all year round. During the Spring, Summer and Autumn months, there are a variety of activities to satisfy all ages, young and old.
